PricingThis is what privacy costs. Not just GDPR. Your professional secrecy, too.
For law firms, medical practices and tax advisers, privacy has two laws: data protection law with its fines, and professional secrecy, which hits you personally. Section 203 in Germany, Section 121 in Austria, Art. 321 in Switzerland, and an equivalent in every European country. Fleet Navigator is AI that complies with both. The software runs on your machine, you pay for computing time by the minute, and every price is on this page.
€0 software · computing time from 19 cents per active minute · cancel monthly · app in 9 languages
- No user limits
- DPA + secrecy undertaking included
- Your data stays on your computer
Licence and computing time, cleanly separated
Fleet Navigator has two price tags, and you do not always need both.
1 · The licence
This is the software on your computer: Light for €0, Maat and Enterprise as a monthly or annual licence or as a one-off purchase, the Server for the whole office. You pay the licence regardless of where the AI computes. See licence prices
2 · The computing time
This is the AI computing power. With your own hardware it costs nothing. Without hardware, fleet:de computes and you pay per active minute: BASIS without a subscription, or BUSINESS, PRO and TEAM with included minutes, each as Flex or Annual. See the plans
What privacy costs without Fleet Navigator
Professional secrecy exists everywhere in Europe, and fleet-navigator.eu is built for Europe. Anyone who puts client, patient or tax data into an AI faces three sets of rules at once: data protection law, criminal law and professional rules. Pick your country. And for comparison, the USA, whose privacy protection falls short of the GDPR.
The fine
The GDPR applies in every EU and EEA country, and the United Kingdom has kept it as the UK GDPR. Personal data needs a legal basis, every service provider needs a data processing agreement (Art. 28), and the technology has to be state of the art (Art. 32). An AI that sends text to someone else’s cloud is data processing, with everything that entails.
Professional secrecy
Professional secrecy exists all over Europe. France, Italy, the Netherlands and most European legal systems make breaching it a criminal offence, for lawyers, doctors and tax advisers alike. In the United Kingdom, legal professional privilege protects client communication and the duty of confidence protects the patient record.
Professional rules
The rules of the European bars (CCBE), the national chambers of doctors and tax advisers, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority in England all demand careful selection, a written commitment and oversight when you use an external provider. The responsibility stays with you.
The fine
Personal data may only be processed with a legal basis, service providers need a data processing agreement (Art. 28), and the technology must be state of the art (Art. 32). An AI that sends text to someone else’s cloud is data processing, with everything that entails.
The sentence
Breach of private secrets hits lawyers, doctors, tax advisers and their staff directly. Since 2017 you may involve service providers, but you must verifiably bind them to secrecy (para. 4). A cloud provider that processes your data outside your control makes exactly that obligation hard to meet.
Professional rules
Chambers and professional codes demand careful selection, a written commitment and oversight of external providers. The responsibility stays with you, even if the server is in California.
The fine
The GDPR applies directly in Austria, supplemented by the Data Protection Act (DSG). The supervisory authority is the Datenschutzbehörde in Vienna. Anyone feeding client or patient data into an AI needs a legal basis, a data processing agreement (Art. 28) and state-of-the-art technology (Art. 32).
The sentence
Section 121 of the Austrian Criminal Code punishes breach of professional secrecy in healthcare, for doctors, health professionals and their assistants. Lawyers are bound by the duty of confidentiality in Section 9 RAO, tax advisers and auditors by Section 80 WTBG. Whoever involves third parties remains responsible for their confidentiality.
Professional rules
The bar association, the medical chamber and the chamber of tax advisers and auditors expect careful selection, a contractual commitment and oversight of external providers. The responsibility stays with you.
The fine
The revised Federal Act on Data Protection has applied since September 2023. Unlike in the EU, the fine is aimed not at the company but at the responsible individual. Processing by a provider needs a contract (Art. 9 FADP), disclosure abroad needs a country with adequate protection (Art. 16 FADP).
The sentence
Breach of professional secrecy covers lawyers, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, auditors and their auxiliaries. Anyone who uses a service provider makes it an auxiliary and must ensure its confidentiality. It is the strictest framework in the German-speaking countries.
Professional rules
Supervisory commissions and cantonal medical officers demand careful selection, a contractual commitment and oversight of external providers. The responsibility stays with you, even if the server is abroad.
No privacy law for everyone
The US protects health data (HIPAA), financial data (GLBA) and consumers in individual states (CCPA in California). What the GDPR guarantees for all data is largely missing there: purpose limitation, data minimisation, access, erasure, and a processing agreement that puts duties on the provider.
Government access
The CLOUD Act obliges US companies to hand over data regardless of where the server stands. That is exactly why Safe Harbor (2015) and Privacy Shield (2020) failed before the European Court of Justice. The third agreement, the Data Privacy Framework, has been in force since 2023 and is under attack again. A US provider in your chain remains a risk you have to reassess every year.
Professional secrecy
American lawyers and doctors owe confidentiality too. The difference: what the provider may do with the data is governed by its own terms of service, not by law. For professionals in Europe, European law counts, wherever the provider is based.
Summary, not legal advice, as of September 2026. The figures are statutory maximums, not expected values. They show the order of magnitude of the risk that a €39 subscription covers. Your country is missing? Write to us, we know professional secrecy there too.
The edition is your licence. It runs on any PC.
Light is free forever. Maat and Enterprise add assistants, data volumes and image analysis, the Server is the multi-user solution in your own office. The app itself speaks English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Polish, Greek, Turkish and Albanian. See the detailed edition comparison.

You pay for AI computing time by the minute, and only if you have no hardware of your own
With your own GPU or inference server there are no running costs. Without hardware, fleet:de computes: measured to the second, billed in 6-second blocks, active generation time only. Every plan covers any number of users.
The first 60 compute free for 30 days. Condition: you actually use it.
fleet:de is live, in beta. Download Light, enter the FD number from the download e-mail in the Navigator, and from that day 30 days of fleet:de run free of charge: no base fee, no per-minute billing, no contract that keeps running afterwards. This applies to the first 60 testers; after that the FD number gives you €20 of starting credit. Beta does not mean less protection: GDPR, the data processing agreement and Section 203 apply from the first minute. Details on the editions page.

Flex, Annual, SEPA: how the price is made up
Flex can be cancelled monthly. Annual runs for 12 months with monthly invoicing: two months free, 50 extra included minutes per month and 10 cents less per extra minute. Cancel up to 6 weeks before the term ends, otherwise it renews for another year.
SEPA direct debit works across the whole SEPA area, from Ireland to Switzerland. It lowers the BASIS minute price from €0.60 to €0.50, and the base fee of the subscriptions by €3, €5 or €10 a month. Monthly fees with decimals result from the annual price divided by twelve. All prices in euros.
What privacy with AI costs per month
The figures assume active generation time, not the time you spend in front of the screen. A typical summary or a draft pleading takes a few seconds to a minute.
Solo law firm
One lawyer, about 100 AI minutes a month
BUSINESS Flex + SEPA: 120 minutes included, cancel monthly. Software: Light, €0.
Medical practice with a team
Two doctors, three assistants, about 280 AI minutes a month
PRO Annual + SEPA: 300 minutes included for all five users, one shared allowance. Software: Light or Maat.
Tax office with its own hardware
Mac Studio from the complete package, unlimited minutes
Own inference: no plan, no minutes, no data leaving the office. One-off hardware and licence, price of the complete package on request.
